Bach Family Law specializes in Education Law as it relates to schools, teachers and the rights of American students to a public education, as well as defending and supporting the standards for students attending private schools.
By law, every child has the right to the equal opportunities of an education. This is especially true for minorities and disadvantaged students. The Equal Education Opportunities Act of 1974 provides that states must provide equal opportunity to any individual student. And it protects every individual from the denial of this service based on race, color, sex, or national origin. Maryland has additional laws that supplement and expand upon the federal statutes. These laws govern the standards for education including the standards for evaluating student and teacher performance.
